By road we are on the A3021 East Cowes to Newport or Ryde road, turning into Folly Lane carrying on until you reach the river. By water we are approximately 15 minutes up river from Cowes or East Cowes. Water taxis are available.
Legend has it that The Folly originated from a French smuggling barge that ran aground in the 1700's selling illegal alcohol. This became a success leading to the inn it is today. The Folly has a unique rustic appearance with walls, ceilings and floors all original.
The eating area is open plan in style with a seating capacity for approximately 200 inside and another 64 picnic benches outside to enjoy in clement weather. We have a varied menu and the specials board changes daily. Bookings are advisable at busy times.
